I Have A Toothache
A toothache can range from mild discomfort to excruciating pain. A toothache is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong and is usually a symptom of a larger problem that needs to be addressed.
If you are in a lot of pain and need immediate attention, visit out emergency dentist page for more information.
Causes of tooth pain may be from tooth decay, cracks or fractures, infection or abscess and treatment options may include:
Fillings
Fillings are a very common treatment among a lot of people. Metal fillings are the most common however some patients don’t like the colour and can sometimes cause cracking of teeth or headaches in which case another option is a white composite filling.
Root Canal Therapy
If the internal pulp has been too damaged to repair or an infection has occurred you may require a root canal treatment. The damaged or infected pulp is removed and a filling material is inserted to strengthen the tooth.
Crowns
Crowns are used to cover or cap a damaged tooth and to strengthen and enhance the appearance of teeth that are weak.
